Dept of correctional services grants Oscar Pistorius parole

After serving about a sixth of his total sentence, the prison parole board suggested Oscar be released into house arrest on August 21 no jokes!

Time magazine reports that, according to acting head of correctional facilities Zach Modise, Pistorius has shown “good behaviour” and as such should be let out after serving just 10 months of his sentence.

Earlier this year Oscar made it clear that he would apply for bail and, should it be granted, he’d like to start tutoring children in life skills.

While this does not mean the bladerunner is getting out – the state still has an opportunity to appeal the department’s decision –, it sure does make one wonder what you gots to do to get people to serve out a just sentence.
