KZN DA leader Francois Rodgers says the incident was a result of Premier Nomsa Dube who did not follow due process or pay the correct deposit for an Imbizo set to take place on Saturday.

“The ANC took it upon themselves to illegally enter the Mpophomeni stadium. The stadium had been locked and secured for a pre-booked event to take place on Saturday.”

“The opportunistic allegations by the ANC Moses Mabhida Region that a child was knocked down and had to be rushed to hospital in a hit-and-run accident is both false and libel. Clearly, once again this type of behaviour from the ANC shows sheer desperation.
The DA will now pursue a criminal investigation into the unfounded, opportunistic allegations and illegal entry into the stadium,” Rodgers vowed.
