The DA launched its 2024 election campaign ahead of the general and provincial elections in Gqeberha on Thursday, saying it was the last chance to rescue South Africa from the grip of the ANC’s criminal state.

The party also unveiled its national election posters and urgent election slogan ‘rescue SA, vote DA’.

DA leader John Steenhuisen urged the public to vote for the DA and rescue South Africa.

Party vows to rescue South Africa from collapse

“2024 offers us a last chance to rescue South Africa from the grip of the ANC’s criminal state and pull our country back from the brink of state failure and the complete collapse of the South African dream.

We chose Nelson Mandela Bay in particular, because this metro exemplifies the problems that follow when our politics over-fragment, enabling unscrupulous one-seat parties to prop up ANC administrations for their own gain, at the expense of South African citizens.

In this election, voting for the DA will not only rescue South Africa from the ANC, but also from those small parties that exist only to preserve ANC misrule,” he said.

DA plans to end load shedding and create jobs

Steenhuisen said the party will rescue South Africa from unemployment, load shedding and water-shedding, crime, corruption and the cost-of-living crises.

“The DA is committed to forming the stable anchor party at the heart of a new national government.

The DA’s practical and implementable manifesto, combined with our proven track record of good governance, creating jobs and improving lives, makes us the ideal party for every South African that wants a new government to rescue South Africa.

Where the DA governs, we are making progress to end load shedding, create jobs, reduce crime, and deliver better services to all South Africans. To rescue SA, vote DA,” Steenhuisen said.
