THOUGHTS ON THE MURDER OF UMNGENI CHIEF WHIP

Don Clarke shared his thoughts on the death of Councillor Nhlalayenza Ndlovu.
“I must assume that this wasn’t the result of a violent brawl or a burglary gone wrong, but a politically motivated atrocity. African politics is still savage, primitive, and hazardous.
“In circumstances like this, the best way forward is never violent retaliation, but intelligent marksmanship.
No…not the mark made by a weapon. The mark made on a ballot paper,” he said.

The African Christian Democratic Party (ACDP) commented on the ongoing killings of councillors.
“The ongoing killings of councillors and other community leaders in Kwazulu-Natal calls for stricter police measures to deal with these deliberate, well-orchestrated murders. We call on law enforcement agencies to leave no stone unturned to unravel the cause behind the killing of Councillor Ndlovu and to bring the perpetrators to book.
“The ACDP extends heartfelt condolences to the entire family of the deceased, especially to his wife and children. We pray that God Almighty will heal and strengthen you during this difficult time,” the party said.
