“We see ourselves as an important part of the regional value chain, which is a responsibility we take seriously,” Cloete added.

WHAT’S ON THE CARDS FOR THE UPGRADED CAPE WINELANDS AIRPORT?

According to a recent press release, the airport unveiled some of its development plans, which will include vineyards as part of the landscaping aesthetics to portray the region’s wine culture.

There will also be open spaces that include a plaza, a hotel, conference centre, a wine-tasting experience, an outdoor amphitheatre for events of up to 5 000 people, and an aviation museum.
