Shocking! KZN man stabbed multiple times in head and body

An unidentified man was repeatedly stabbed during an alleged robbery in Buffelsdraai in KwaZulu-Natal (KZN) on Saturday.

According to private security, Reaction Unit South Africa (RUSA), a resident contacted them at approximately 02:03 after they discovered the male on the side of the road bleeding excessively from his injuries. 

RUSA spokesperson, Prem Balram said reaction officers were dispatched to the scene and on arrival found that the male was barely conscious. 

“He had been stabbed multiple times on his head and body. He was allegedly robbed however this could not be immediately confirmed. The man was transported to a medical facility in a critical condition.”

LEARNER KILLED IN ERMELO

In a separate incident, a learner at Cebisa Secondary School has succumbed to his injuries after he was allegedly stabbed by another in Ermelo, Gert Sibande District in Mpumalanga on Tuesday, 16 August 2022.

It is alleged that a gangster related fight made its way into the school during break time wherein the Grade 10 learner was stabbed by another learner.

According to the Mpumalanga Department of Education, the stabbed learner succumbed to his injuries at Ermelo Public Hospital.

It is alleged that both learners belong to different troublesome gangsters in the township.

The Department said the passing on of a learner through a stabbing on school grounds is a sad and unfortunate development. It further condemned any form of violence that makes its way into schools in the strongest terms possible.

Mpumalanga MEC for Education, Bonakele Majuba directed that the Department work with the law enforcement institutions to probe the circumstances which led to the deceased’s death.

Majuba further conveyed his sincere condolences to the bereaved family.
