The South African government has withdrawn all its diplomats from Tel Aviv amid the ongoing war in Gaza.

BREAKING: SOUTH AFRICA RECALLS DIPLOMATS FROM TEL AVIV

Minister in the Presidency Khumbudzo Ntshavheni confirmed the news at the post-cabinet media briefing on Monday.

Ntshavheni revealed President Cyril Ramaphosa’s cabinet had instructed the Department of International Relations and Cooperation (DIRCO) to take action against Eliav Belotserkovsky, the Israeli ambassador to South Africa.

RAMAPHOSA HAD INSTRUCTED DIRCO TO TAKE ACTION AGAIN BELOTSERKOVSKY

Ramaphosa has reiterated the call for dialogue and negotiations to resolve the ongoing wars in Israel and Palestine, as well as the war in Ukraine.

He said the conflict has left many sad and fearful about the future of international relations.

THE CONFLICT HAS LEFT MANY SAD AND FEARFUL

“The ongoing conflict between Russia and Ukraine and the devastating events unfolding in Israel and Palestine have left many of us saddened.

“They have left us fearful for the future of international cooperation and our common aspiration to realise a world free of conflict,”

he said.

SCHOOL USED AS SHELTER BOMBED

The Guardian reported that the UN has warned of a “catastrophic” situation for children in Gaza, as Israeli bombs hit a school being used as a shelter and landed outside a hospital.

Israel came under mounting pressure over the civilian suffering caused by its campaign.

MORE THAN 40% OF THE DEAD WERE CHILDREN

More than 40% of the dead in Gaza after nearly four weeks of war were children, the UN said, with 3,900 reported child victims and another 1,250 missing and presumed buried under bombed buildings.

With little rescue machinery and hospitals overcrowded and running out of supplies, the chances of survival for those trapped in rubble are painfully low.
