Minister of Police, General Bheki Cele and Justice Minister, Ronald Lamola, are scheduled to provide an update to the nation on the manhunt for convicted murderer and rapist, Thabo Bester, who escaped from custody at the Mangaung Correctional Facility.
The update is set to take place at 14:00 on 8 April 2023, at the GCIS Pretoria venue.

Thabo Bester believed to have been caught
Breaking news reports reveal that authorities have re-arrested Bester, the man known as the “Facebook Rapist.
Bester, a convicted murderer, rapist, and fraudster, had escaped from his prison cell at the Magaung Correctional Centre in May 2022 by faking his death.

Along with Bester, his alleged accomplice, Nandipha Maguduma, also known as Dr Nandipha, was also arrested by authorities.
