Home Affairs services back online

The Department of Home Affairs has successfully rectified a technical issue that disrupted its services earlier this week.

The problem originated from a malfunction in the State Information Technology Agency (SITA) mainframe. Affecting access to the crucial National Population Register (NPR).

Home Affairs successfully restores online system

After swift and diligent efforts, the department announced on Thursday afternoon that its system is back online and services have been fully restored. This news brings relief to citizens and clients who rely on the department for various administrative and immigration-related tasks.

“Technicians from the State Information Technology Agency (SITA) are monitoring the system to ensure that the solution is sustainable. Further updates will be provided where necessary,” it said.
