Unknown suspects raided the a popular retail shop in the Free State, cutting their way into the safe and stealing cash and cellphones.

Free State police are investigating an alleged business robbery that occurred on Sunday, 2 April. A group of unknown suspects allegedly raided a well-known retail shop and made off with cash.
South African Police Service (SAPS) spokesperson Sergeant Mahlomola Kareli said the suspects cut their way into the shop’s safe and stole an undisclosed amount of cash and different cellphones with an estimated value of R87 000.
“The Acting District Commissioner, Brigadier Mapulane Mbeloane, has appealed to members of the community to come forward with information that can lead to the apprehension of the suspects,” said the police spokesperson.
Members of the public with information about the business robbery are encouraged to contact the investigating officer, Detective Sergeant Mpho Marapo of the Viljoenskroon SAPS, at 081-545-5365 or dial the Crime Stop hotline at 08600-10111. Anonymous tip-offs can be provided via the My SAPS app.
