City of Tshwane announces 12-hour water interruptions in 6 suburbs
The City of Tshwane has declared a 12-hour water interruption on 10 January 2024, which will be affecting six suburbs.

City of Tshwane has advised residents residing in the Queenswood Reservoir supply area to brace for a planned water supply interruption on Wednesday, 10 January 2024, spanning from 8:00 to 20:00.

“During the period, the City’s technicians will carry out upgrade work on the water supply network in Queenswood,” said the City of Tshwane.
Areas to be affected in Tshwane
The water supply interruption will affect several suburbs, including Koedoespoort, Villieria, Waverly, Moregloed, Queenswood, and Rietfontein.

Residents within these areas are encouraged to plan accordingly. They also advised to take necessary precautions to mitigate the impact of the disruption.
To ensure minimal inconvenience during this period, residents are strongly urged to adopt water conservation measures as part of their daily routines.

Water conservation measures
These include refraining from watering or irrigating gardens with hosepipes or sprinkler systems between 6:00 and 18:00. Abstaining from washing vehicles using hosepipes, and avoiding the filling of swimming pools.
Futhermore, residents should consider installing low-flow showerheads and tap aerators wherever possible to contribute to long-term water conservation efforts.a
