Build One South Africa (BOSA) party leader, Mmusi Maimane, has announced that Nobuntu Hlazo-Webster is the party’s chosen candidate for Premier of Gauteng.

Maimane said that Hlazo-Webster, the party’s deputy leader, was picked to lead the campaign in Gauteng in their bid to form a new government.

RESPECTED BUSINESS LEADER, COMMUNITY ACTIVIST

“She has been recognised with numerous accolades from the Businesswomen’s Association of South Africa and the department of economic development among others,” said Maimane.

“Nobuntu holds a BPhil Honours degree and several postgraduate business qualifications. She sits on various boards and is involved in numerous community initiatives,” he said.

Maimane also said that Hlazo-Webster was a respected business leader in the consulting and media industries. He said she sits on various boards and was involved in community initiatives.

These include the Businesswomen’s Association of SA as Chairperson, the International Women’s Forum as President of its youth chapter, and the KZN Youth Chamber of Commerce as Regional Chair and Provincial Secretary-General.

WATER CRISIS A RESULT OF LACK OF POLITICAL WILL – BOSA

“The cost of housing to those who live in Johannesburg, Tshwane, and Ekurhuleni is unjustifiably high. Young families and recent graduates can barely afford to live close to where they work,” said Hlazo-Webster in her acceptance speech.

The deputy leader said the current water crisis resulted from the government’s lack of political will to resolve it.
“It is the outcome of a government either indifferent to the impact of the lack of reliable water supply to its citizens or lacking the political will to do something about it.,” said Hlazo-Webster.

“The current government has been corruptly failing to provide affordable housing while at the same time giving abusive property developers approvals and support to build in Gauteng,” she said.
