Armed robbers storm jewellery store in La Lucia Mall
At least four malls in Durban have fell victim to armed gangs, looking to rob jewellery stores. Luckily in all cases nobody was injured

Another shopping mall in Durban has become the target of armed gangs seeking to rob jewellery stores. La Lucia Mall in Durban North was latest mall to fall victim to the robbers.

FOURTH MALL ROBBERY IN THREE MONTHS IN DURBAN
According to Northglen News, five armed suspects held up staff at a watch store, ransacked the store and made off with an undisclosed amount of items.
The robbery of the mall located in affluent suburb, comes after Pavilion Shopping Mall, Chatsworth Mall, and a mall in Umhlanga were attacked in May and June- in all locations, jewellery stores were the main target.

In a statement, Mall management confirmed the incident revealed that no shots were fired no nobody was harmed.
“La Lucia Mall has extensive security measures and collaborates closely with law enforcement, tenants and the local community for ongoing crime prevention. We would like to assure our customers that their safety remains our top priority”

CAUGHT ON CAMERA!
Last month East Gate Mall in Johannesburg was robbed. According to the police, eight suspects entered a shop and held up the employees at gunpoint before taking an undisclosed amount of jewellery from the shelves.

As they were leaving the mall, the suspects fired shots randomly. Mall security and police gave chase when they sped off in getaway cars.
Two suspects were arrested in this incident as a result of the police chase.
