She was born on 2 September 1998 to a black mother and a Caucasian father. She is a native of Cala, but her family moved to Johannesburg when she was 3 years old. Ama Qamata is 25 years as of this writing and her star sign is Virgo.


She graduated from Reddam House Bedfordview and decided to take a gap year after completing her matriculation in 2016. She then pursued a degree in Theatre and Performance at the University of Cape Town but dropped out during her second year.

Ama made her screen debut in the SA comedy series My Perfect Family. In 2020, she joined the cast of Gomora, portraying the character Buhle in the Mzansi Magic series.
