Residents in the Queenswood Reservoir supply area must prepare for a planned water upgrade originally scheduled for 10 January 2024.

However, the City of Tshwane has postponed the maintenance to 17 January 2024, from 8:00 to 20:00.

“During the period, the City’s technicians will carry out upgrade work on the water supply network in Queenswood,” said the City of Tshwane.

Areas that will be affected by the water outage

The affected suburbs, including Koedoespoort, Villieria, Waverley, Moregloed, Queenswood, and Rietfontein, should plan accordingly.

With the impending upgrade, residents are advised to adopt water conservation measures to minimise inconvenience during the interruption.

Tips for the disruption

  • Refrain from watering gardens with hosepipes or sprinkler systems between 6:00 and 18:00.
  • Avoid washing vehicles with hosepipes during the upgrade period.
  • Consider installing low-flow showerheads and tap aerators to contribute to long-term water conservation efforts.
  • Temporarily avoid filling swimming pools during the scheduled upgrade.
