Russell believes Hamilton is the “Greatest Of All Time” [Watch]

Asked if Hamilton was the greatest, Russell responded with a firm and confident “yes,” which was supported by the lie detector’s approval.

Mercedes Formula 1 driver George Russell believes his teammate Lewis Hamilton is the greatest F1 driver of all time.

During a lie detector test, the 25-year-old racer, was asked whether he considered Lewis Hamilton to be the greatest of all time, and responded with a firm and confident “yes,” which was supported by the lie detector’s approval.

Hamilton, who many regard as the best F1 driver of all time, has won a record seven F1 titles and has already amassed 103 wins.

Russell though believes that he is currently faster than the experienced British driver, who turned 38 earleir this year.

When asked if he was faster than Hamilton, he responded, “Now, yes.” Surprisingly, the lie detector test agreed with his statement.

Russell has a superior 2022 season to that Hamilton finishing above the seven time champions in the driver’s standings.

In this current season, the young British driver has been inconsistent failing to finish two of the eight races so far.

During the Canadian GP, Russell started in fourth, and was running in that position and as he tried to pressurise Fernando Alonso into a mistake, he ran wide over the kerbs and clattered into the wall.

His race ultimately ended when he was forced to retire his car halfway into the race.

“I just went a bit deep into the right-hander, and then from the left I just touched the kerb, but I clearly hit it with the bottom of the car,” Russell said afterwards.

“The next thing I knew I was up in the air and when I landed, lost the rear and I was in the wall. [I’m] kicking myself because such a small error has big consequences and that’s how it is on circuits like this. So kicking myself from my side.”
