This is a drag race of epic proportion and features three different types of vehicles. The Swedish hypercar brand Koenigsegg pushes the boundaries of what can be done in the automotive field.

Tesla is an electric carmaker with the jumpstart on many of its rivals. Suzuki is well-known Japanese brand with a rich motorbike heritage. Motoring publication Carwow has brought three models together for an interesting drag race.

The Koenigsegg is a masterpiece in engineering. It employs an incredibly powerful five-litre twin-turbo V8 petrol engine that delivers an eye-watering 1014kW and 1573Nm of torque, according to Carwow.

It uses a a seven-speed dual-clutch gearbox and sends all of its power to the rear axle. It’s crazy light with a kerb weight of 1395kg, this in combination with it’s extravagant power figures should make it fast in a drag race.

It’s also replete in an interesting blue hue that makes the car look fast while it’s stationary.

THE ELECTRIC OPTION – TESLA’S PLAID

Next to the Koenigsegg we have the Tesla Model S Plaid. It’s equipped with three motors, and they combine to put down 760kW and 1420Nm, unlike the Koenigsegg the Tesla sends its power to a four-wheel-drive system.

The Tesla Plaid is disadvantaged in this drag race by the weight of its huge batteries and electric motors. It has a claimed kerb weight of 2190kg.

AND FINALLY, THE LIGHTEST COMPETITOR OF THE TRIO… SUZUKI’S HAYBUSA

The smallest vehicle here is the Suzuki Hayabusa.

However, the bike has a trick up its sleeve. The 1.3-litre 4-cylinder engine has been supercharged and now produces an insane 287kW and 280Nm of torque. This power is sent to the rear and it tips the scale at a mere 257kg which gives it a huge advantage in a drag race.
