On the rugby pitch, Springbok lock Franco Mostert is one of the most hardworking and physical players in the national setup, having earned 63 Tests caps since making his debut in 2016.

However, away from the battle ground of Test rugby, Mostert – whose nickname is ‘Sous’ – is known to be a real character with a fantastic sense of humour.

He is also a passionate family man, and some brilliant pictures have now emerged to show Mostert and his wife Juan-Ri hosting an early birthday party for their daughter Jemi so she could have her father – who plays his club rugby in Japan – present for the celebrations.

The tiger theme saw everyone dressing up in costumes that made for some incredible pictures during a special beach party.
