The richest cat in the world, as recognized by Guinness World Records, is Blackie.

This was back in 1988 after the death of Ben Rea, Blackie’s owner.

When Blackie’s millionaire owner passed away, he chose not to recognize his family in his will.

Rea left his £7-million (R163 258 970) fortune to Blackie.
