Following a report of animal cruelty, the Cape of Good Hope SPCA has urged the public to assist with any information.

The Cape of Good Hope SPCA is currently investigating a case of animal cruelty and possible contraventions of the Animals Protection Act 71 of 1962 involving a Facebook post in which a cat is held by the neck and threatened with a knife.

The Cape of Good Hope SPCA has urged the public to assist with any information.

The image in question was uploaded to Facebook by Jayden Faans – and the Cape of Good Hope SPCA in urgently seeking his whereabouts for questioning.

According to his Facebook page, Faans claims to be a ‘Facebook comedian’.

Reports can be made anonymously and the SPCA will never reveal the name of a complainant.
