How to prevent grass allergies in dogs

Dogs can’t avoid pollen because it’s everywhere, even if they stay inside or you try to keep them away.

But there are things you can do to help your allergic dog:

Keep the grass short by cutting it often.

Don’t let your dog stay outside too much, especially in spring and autumn.

Walk your dog on the pavement and play more indoors.

Before going inside, shake off your clothes to get rid of pollen and don’t leave them where your dog hangs out.

When you’re back home, clean your dog’s paws, ears, and eyes to get rid of any pollen they might have picked up.

Give your dog a bath with special shampoo to wash away any pollen stuck in their fur.
