The television host and popular American chef, Guy Fieri is set to open up a restaurant in South Africa pretty soon.

He’s mostly known as presenter of the hit food show, Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives and of course for those frosty-tip hair.

According to various reports, Guy’s new restaurant called Guy Fieri’s Kitchen + Bar will open on April 1 when it opens at the new Time Square hotel and casino development in Pretoria.

According to Times Live, Fieri said the restaurant would offer “real deal, scratch-made food, killer cocktails and a rocking good time”. Food-lovers can also be excited about a mechanical bull in his restaurant. “You know I got to keep it funky in Flavourtown! My South African Kitchen + Bar is gonna have a first for me…a mechanical bull!”

Obviously his award-winning and mouthwatering burgers, like the Bacon Mac-N-Cheese Burger and signature sandwiches such as the Motley Que – which has real-deal American barbecued pulled pork – will be available for our pleasure.

He also said that they take pride in their big-time hits such as killer burgers, buffalo wings and craft cocktails, but they will also take a look around and see what’s special in SA.

“I mean, if you’re going to do South Africa, you got to have some scratch-made rubbed and sauced peri-peri chicken wings, right? You’re not going to find grilled springbok loin from Mokopane in New York City but after trying it in South Africa, I may have to change that.”

His restaurant is one of three to open at the center powered by Sun International. Joining his restaurant will be the Forti Grill by South African chef Fortunato Mazzone and Something’s Cooking by J’Something run by MiCasa lead singer Joao da Fonseca.

….and a #bloodymary because @_bienvenido said so!
