Is there any South African braai food or shopping centre kiosk food more iconic than the boerwors roll? A humble yet delicious South African hotdog made with beef sausage and whatever you want on it. However, these boerewors rolls with tomato and onion smoor is the most classic variation.
‘Smoor’ is the Afrikaans name for the tomato and onion sauce which often has garlic and a bit of curry powder and Worcestershire sauce too.
