The weather is just too perfect not to want to cook everything outside, right? Did you know that your braai can be used for more than steak, chops and wors? Well, with this incredible recipe, you can make a traditional bobotie on the braai for your family, any day of the week. Bobotie is a classic Cape Malay curry dish, flavoured with apricots, aromatic spices and topped with a custard, before being baked to perfection.

The spice mixture tastes as incredible as it will smell while preparing. The dried apricots provide some great sweetness with the spicy meat mixture. The egg custard is beautiful to look at as it is to eat too. Make sure that your braai or Weber has a cover so that you can bake the bobotie before digging in with slice on a bed of turmeric rice.
