When you’re following a vegetarian diet and still want your protein, beans are a great options thanks to their high-quality plant protein but they also have the added benefit of loads of fibre. This spicy baked beans salad is ready in five minutes, and has all of the hallmarks of a fully-loaded meal that is not only tasty, but healthy too.

You’ve got the ready-cooked baked beans with all of their healthy nutrients alongside the citrus and sweetness from pineapple to cut through the spice you’re going to add with lots of chillies if you choose to use them. The chillies are also packed with cancer-fighting nutrients, so you’ll be stronger after each bowl of this tasty salad. You can serve it on it’s own for a whole meal or as a side when having lunch or dinner, but it’s always going to be tasty.
