Flying the SA flag once again.
Two SA mega stars are set to appear in a new movie to be released in South Africa in March 2018.
Academy Award winner Charlize Theron stars alongside Sharlto Copley in action comedy Gringo, directed by Nash Edgerton which also stars David Oyelowo, Amanda Seyfried and Thandie Newton.
Copley is most famous for his lead role in blockbuster District 9 where he plays Wikus van der Merwe and his role in the recent remake of The A-Team where he takes on the role of Murdoch.
Theron’s last big screen appearance was in the high-grossing The Fate of the Furious. She has had other big roles recently, like in Mad Max: Fury Road, where she kicked ass and took names as the badass Imperator Furiosa as well as playing villain Queen Ravena in The Huntsman: Winter’s War.
In Gringo she plays a businesswoman in the narcotics industry while Copley plays a rugged black-ops mercenary.
The movie premieres in the US on 9 March 2018 and will be shown in South Africa on 28 March.
