Orlando Pirates have defended their MTN8 trophy for the second year, and fans loved it.

Usually, when signing a new club, most players fail to adapt well in their first games.
A cup defeat final usually would have negatively affected their mentality, and some would sink in.
Surprisingly, Thapelo Maseko seemed to be bullish about their ability to rise again.

Mamelodi Sundowns faced Orlando Pirates in the MTN8 final on the back of an acceptable form.
It seemed they would be cruising past Pirates, but they found a different team altogether.
Pirates showed so much determination and quality that Sundowns could not break their defence.
The game went on to the penalty shootouts, where Sundowns lost the final.
Such a defeat in the cup final indeed demands a top mentality from players for them to rise again.
Mamelodi Sundowns will play Swallows on 29 October after the break, and their mentality will be tested.
