Genius Kadungure was a Zimbabwean socialite and businessman – affectionately known as Ginimbi. Ginimbi made South Africa his playing ground and was known for his spending sprees, from hosting famous white parties to dating A-listers.

The celebrated socialite died in the early hours of 8 November 2022 in a horrific car accident that burnt other passengers beyond recognition. He once dated South Africa’s sexiest teacher Lulu Menziwa. However, little is known about the reason behind their fallout.

Upon his untimely death, he had a fleet of exotic cars that consisted of:

  • Lamborghini Aventador Roadster
  • Ranger Rover Sport Limited edition
  • Mercedes-Benzs
  • Rolls-Royce Ghost (2016)

Apart from his impressive car collection, he had a mega-mansion just outside Harare, the capital city of Zimbabwe. The celebrated socialite also had several houses in South Africa and Botswana.

He also had several companies dotted across South Africa and Botswana and under his parental company Piko Trading Group. Companies which were under the Piko Group include:

  • City Freight
  • Quick Gases
  • Rinovia Gases
  • Pioneer Gases

Years later, many have been trying to connect the dots on the empire he left behind. His booming business empire arguably crumbled a few months after his death.

Little is known about his gas companies. However, it has been reported that some of the outlets have since closed in Botswana. His mansion stands above the rest, but ownership wrangle rumours have often thrust it into the limelight.

The impressive car collection is no more; his sister Nelia who was entrusted with some of the high-end cars, reportedly failed to service them. On the other hand, the government impounded some of his cars.

Kadungure’s once-famous nightclub dreams have failed to raise the bar since his death. The nightclub has closed its doors not once, not twice, but thrice.
