VIDEO: Siya Kolisi’s special Mother’s Day message to Rachel

As part of a special ongoing video series produced in conjunction between SuperSport and SA Rugby, Springbok players have spoken about some of the most important people in their lives. In particular, on Mother’s Day, Bok captain Siya Kolisi was one of those who shared some special words for wife Rachel.

“Without her, nothing that I’ve done would have happened,” Kolisi commented. “She always saw the person I could become and she believed it. When someone loves you at your worst, then you know that’s your person. She spoke life over me and that’s when I was like, you know what, I don’t know what I’d be without her.”

Kolisi also shared a special message to his grandmother, who played such an instrumental role in his upbringing.

“My grandmother, without her I wouldn’t be here. She taught me what community is as well, she went from neighbour to neighbour… The things I love about women is they have no ego,” he added.
