Three things to know about AKA’s friend Lusaso “Saso” Ngcobo

Kiernan Jarryd Forbes, popularly known as AKA, was shot and killed at close range in Florida, Morningside in Durban on Friday, 10 February, with his friends and a bodyguard around him as he got assassinated. One of AKA’s friends, Tebello Motsoane, also known as Tibz, also died at the scene.

Fans and online users have since accused the rappers friends, Don Design and several others who were with him on the night he was killed, of having a hand in his murder. After several days of being quiet, AKA’s friend Lusaso Ngcobo, also known as Saso finally broke his silence and shared a tribute to the late rapper on Instagram. SASO’S BIRTHDAY

According to several sources, Saso was born in June 1990. The actual date of his birthday is not available.

OCCUPATION

Saso was in a South African hip hop group named Dream Team with Mthoko Mkhathini, also known as Dash, Trevor Sineke, also called Trey, Drum reported.

The group was formed in 2011, and they were once reportedly opening acts for international rap stars Kendrick Lamar and Big Sean.

They also featured Big Nuz and AKA in the remix version of their song Tsekede which was released in 2013, Boomplay reported.

AWARDS

In 2013, the Dream Team group was reportedly nominated at the South African Hip Hop Awards just two years after forming the group.

FAMILY

According to Zalebs, Saso is big on family and has two siblings, Akhona and Aluta Ngcobo, and he’s also reportedly close to his mother, Gugu.

Saso got engaged in 2018 to his social media influencer fiancée, Amanda Jingela. The two became first-time parents to their daughter, Lunamo Zoya Ngcobo, Tswalebs reported.
