Users on X (formerly Twitter) have dragged DJ Euphonik, real name Themba Nkosi, for his cryptic post after Zoleka Mandela’s passing was announced.

EUPHONIK SLAMMED FOR CRYPTIC POST

On Tuesday, 26 September, the musician took to the popular social media platform to write: “God fetching okes in their numbers! Good Riddance.”

The Busa hitmaker’s post quickly garnered traction as netizens asked if he was referring to Zoleka as a statement announcing her death had just been released.

“What a disgusting human,” @thabang_theko said.

“You are so vile,” @sive_pantshwa commented.

“We haven’t forgotten your sins wena… ngathi you’re too relaxed,” wrote @chrisexcel102 who also shared a picture of media personality Bonang Matheba’s bruised face.

The picture was leaked in 2012 when she alleged that he physically abused her whilst they were in a relationship. The charges were later dropped.

IS THIS WHY THE DJ IS ALLEGEDLY HAPPY?

Zoleka – who is the granddaughter of late South African former president, Nelson Mandela, and ANC stalwart Winnie Madikizela Mandela – revealed in August last year that she had been diagnosed with metastatic cancer to the hip, liver, lung, pelvis, brain and spinal cord.

She was previously diagnosed with and beat breast cancer twice.

It is alleged that Zoleka is related to popular X user and activist Nampree – real name Siphelele Madikizela. Zoleka was one of the many anti-abuse activists who showed Nampree support after she accused Euphonik and his friend DJ Fresh drugging and raping her after a night out more than 10 years ago.

After the alleged victim made the allegations public in January 2021, the SowetanLIVE reported in September of the same year that the case had been dropped due to insufficient evidence.

The police had reopened the case in 2022, but it was dropped months later “as the office of the director of public prosecutions returned the docket to the police and declined to prosecute.”
