SABC 3’s most-watched show Masked Singer SA season 1 comes to an end

“Dreams do come true” – SABC 3’s most-watched show, The Masked Singer SA, wrapped up its first season with a bang.

The Masked Singer SA wrapped up its first season with a bang. No doubt, it was capped with drama and thrills.

However, little is known when the reality show will return for season 2.

THE MASKED SINGER SA ENDS

The season 1 finale comes a few weeks after the show’s producer, Anele Mdoda, revealed that it was left with few episodes to air.

 Holly Rey won the season’s favourite. In the backdrop of the season 1 finale, Mzansi has been trying to connect the dots about The Masked Singer SA’s return.

The weekend reality show boasts a star-studded judging panel, which includes celebrated media personality Somizi, influencer Sithelo Shozi, Skhumba and J’Something.

 SABC’S MOST-WATCHED SHOW

Despite its premier in June over the months, it gained a considerable following, and in July, it was the most-watched show on SABC 3. According to the Broadcasting Research Council of South Africa report of July, the reality show had the highest viewership, with half a million views.

In the backdrop of the reveal, radio host and producer Anele Mdoda was praised for producing one of the best shows.

During the show’s final episode, Anele Mdoda took her son with her, and he stole the show. He had the opportunity to rub holders with seasoned hosts Katlego Maboe and Mpho Popps.

Alakhe also spent time with the star-studded judging panel.

Influencer Sithelo Shozi also took to Instagram to pen a heartfelt note as the reality show’s season 1 ended. Shozi said it has always been her dream to be on small screens.

Taking to Instagram, she posted: “Dreams do come true!!! Last night, we wrapped up @maskedsingerza – the best show on both SABC channels. Thank you.”
