Prince Harry and his wife, Meghan Markle reportedly extended an olive branch to the Princess of Wales, Kate Middleton ahead of her first public outing at Trooping the Colour ceremony last week.

MEGHAN MARKLE AND PRINCE HARRY REACH OUT TO KATE MIDDLETON

The Duke and Duchess of Sussex, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have reportedly reached out to Kate Middleton before she attended the Trooping the Colour ceremony last week. This marked Kate’s first public appearance since she revealed she had cancer in March.

Princess Kate joined the royal family for King Charles birthday celebrations on the Buckingham Palace balcony on Saturday 15 June. Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have not seen Princess Kate since she cancer diagnosis, according to New York Post.

However, the Sussexes have reportedly extended and olive branch by reaching out to Princess Kate. A source claims that the pair have been following the Princess of Wales’ recovery, despite their communication with Kate and Prince William being limited.

“Both Harry and Meghan have been following Kate’s recovery with huge interest, but sadly it’s had to be more from afar because their lines of communication with the palace and the Waleses, in particular, are very limited, to say the least,” a source told Closer.

“They have had enough information to know that people are excited about the idea of a comeback for Kate and they’re both relieved and happy to hear that she’s on the mend and may soon be well enough to return to her duties.”

THE SUSSEXES SENT ‘WELL WISHES’ TO THE PRINCESS OF WALES

The source went on to claim that Prince Harry and Meghan Markle have sent well wishes to Princess Kate but they may not have received a response.

“They’ve jointly reached out to send well wishes, but they’re still not really in a place with Kate to warrant much of a response,” said the source. However, this “hasn’t stopped them from trying to connect.”

The source went on to claim that the hope is that Prince Harry and Meghan will have a truce with Kate, Prince William and King Charles.

“When Kate gets back into action, their hope is that it might take some of the heat off them and possibly trigger a truce with her and William, and with the King, too,” the source claimed.

This comes after Kate Middleton took a new photo of Prince William and their kids – Prince George (10), Princess Charlotte (9) and Prince Louis (6). The photo was shared on their Kensington Royal social media account on Father’s Day on Sunday 16 June.
