The Duke of Sussex, Prince Harry reportedly “burnt bridges” with the royal family by renouncing his US residency.

PRINCE HARRY ‘BURNT BRIDGES’ WITH ROYAL FAMILY

Respected photographer Arthur Edwards, who has been photographing the royal family since 1977, claims Prince Harry has burnt his bridges with the royal family for good. This comes after Prince Harry became a resident of the US, and the date on the documents was a bitter memory.

Prince Harry chose the date that he and his wife, Meghan Markle were evicted from Frogmore Cottage as the date of his formal residency in the US. The pair moved out the remainder of their belongings from the Windsor property on 29 June 2023. So, Frogmore Cottage was the pair’s UK base after they moved to the US.

Daily Mail reports that 29 June 2023 is the date the pair put down for officially living in the US in new business documents.

“[The loss of] Frogmore was a very small part of it, probably an excuse when he left the UK to make his home in North America,” said Edwards to The Sun.

“By signing this document saying he’s now a resident of the US, he’s probably burnt his bridges but I live in hope. I loved working with him. I thought he was someone really special,” Edwards continued.

Edwards expressed that Prince Harry becoming a US resident is a sad occasion. Prince Harry and Meghan quit their duties as senior working members of the royal family in 2020 and moved to California, US where they started a new life. The pair have two children together – Prince Archie (4) and Princess Lilibet (2).

“I’m quite sad about it. But it seems inevitable, his two kids are American, his wife is American, he lives there, but it’s a sad occasion. You could say good riddance because he’s been nothing but a thorn in their side but he is the prodigal son, and the prodigal son did return so I’ll keep my fingers crossed,” he added.

THE PAIR EXPENSIVE WEEKEND IN MIAMI

This comes after Prince Harry and Meghan reportedly stayed at a hotel costing R152 000 a night in Florida this past weekend. A source spotted Prince Harry and Meghan “walking through the pool area” of the Four Seasons Hotel in Palm Beach on Saturday, 13 April, according to Hello! Magazine.

This is one of the most expensive hotels in the area. The pair were in Miami as they attended a series of star-studded polo events. The Duke and Duchess’ visit to Miami came just days after Netflix announced that they bagged two new Netflix shows.

One show will explore “the joys of cooking, gardening, entertaining and friendship.” While the second show dives into the journey of the world of professional polo shot primarily at the Polo Championship in Wellington, Florida. So, was this weekend away at polo events for the show?
