PALACE ‘DESPERATELY’ TRIED TO END RUMOUR PRINCE WILLIAM CHEATED ON KATE WITH ROSE HANBURY

Royal expert Omid Scobie claimed that Kensington Palace “pulled out all the stops” to end the rumour that Prince William cheated on his wife Kate Middleton with longtime friend Rose Hanbury. The claim comes from Scobie’s bombshell book titled Endgame: Inside the Royal Family and the Monarchy’s Fight for Survival.

Hanbury is the woman Prince William allegedly had an affair with while his wife, Princess Kate was pregnant with their third child. She is actually a close friend of the couple and holds the title of Marchioness of Cholmondeley.

In the book, Scobie writes that press secretary Christian Jones allegedly tried to get the first publication to inquire about affair allegations, The Sun, to stop digging into the story.

“Christian was so desperate to stop [the rumor] and made it his mission to do so,” a former courtier told Scobie.

Scobie claimed that Jones said the entire ordeal was “stressing” him out and promised a journalist from the Sun other royal-related scoops “in exchange for standing down on the rumors.” The Sun reportedly “suddenly pulled reporters off the hunt” and he was told that “Christian helped make it end.”

Scobie also claimed the tabloid shifted its focus to writing “a series of revealing stories” about Prince William’s brother, Prince Harry and wife Meghan Markle.
