US SINGER BETTER MIDLER TO PERFORM AT KING’S CONCERT

There has been much debate surrounding King Charles’ coronation concert to be held at Windsor Castle on 7 May. It has already been confirmed that

British groups Take That, the Spice Girls, and Lionel Richie will also perform. And now it’s been revealed that American singer and songwriter Bette Midler will also perform.

In an interview with The Sun, an insider revealed that although booking performers due to conflicting schedules wasn’t easy, fans can prepare for a show like no other.

“Bosses are quietly confident that a very special event is coming together,” the source said.

“Landing a Hollywood star like Bette is a real coup, and she will add real old-school glamour to the line-up. Bette is delighted to be taking part, she thinks it’s an honour,” the source added.

“Organisers are pulling out all the stops to give people a real spectacle, there’ll be something for everyone,” the source told the publication.

TAKE THAT TO PERFORM AT KING’S CORONATION CONCERT

Take That agreed to perform at King Charles’ royal coronation concert after big names, including Adele and Ed Sheeran, declined, MailOnline reports.

But Robbie Williams, one of the original members, will not join the group for the performance.

A source told the publication:

“The dream for the organisers would be for Robbie Williams to join them. That would be so special and quite a moment, but that has been a difficult one to make work.”

“It will be a great boost for the King and indeed viewers at home,” the source added.

A source told The Mirror: “The biggest names and acts in world music are being approached for the concert.”

The coronation concert will be held on 7 May at Windsor Castle, and the British boyband will be among the acts to perform. Buckingham Palace announced that BBC and BBC Studios would screen the concert.
