Rasta 2.0? A local artist left Mzansi in stitches after he gifted Kwesta a portrait that has since thrust the muso into top trends.

Undoubtedly, over the years, it has fast become a norm for artists to gift celebrities portraits for exposure and recognition, and Mzansi hasn’t been spared from this global trend.

KWESTA’S PORTRAIT LEAVES MZANSI IN STITCHES

Taking to Instagram, Kwesta shared a portrait he received from a fan, and Mzansi was not impressed. The award-winning rapper posted: “Uyang’bona mos…”

In the backdrop of his post, Mzansi quickly flooded the comments section with their two cents.

Many laughed off the portrait and seemingly took a swipe at the artist, whose name was not revealed.

RASTA THE ARTIST 2.0

The unknown artist has since been likened to Rasta The Artist-born Lebani Sirejenje, a Zimbabwean-born painter currently residing in South Africa.

Over the years, he has made headlines with his controversial paintings, often grabbing international headlines.

Rasta The Artist has done several portraits of influential figures, most of which have thrust him on the top trends for the wrong reasons.

However, in the mix of things, the botched portraits have seen him gaining global recognition. After all, he has since turned his failures into newfound fame.
