‘Very much pregnant’: Fans ‘spot’ baby bump on Thuli P [video]

Last month, when DJ and actress Thuli Phongolo shared a snap of only her face on Instagram, her fans wondered if she was pregnant with her “boyfriend” DJ Maphorisa’s baby.

However, at the time, the former Rockville actress sarcastically responded to the claims, saying she is going to fire her makeup team for making her look pregnant.

“I think my edges are making me look pregnant guys but don’t worry I’m firing the whole team for this mess up cause I told them! Anyway THANK YOU for the love guys.”

IS THAT A BABY BUMP ON THULI P? TWEEPS REACT

Now, fans are more than convinced that Thuli is pregnancy after a video of her entertaining the crowd from behind the decks.

When controversial Twitter user @chrisexcel102 shared a screenshot of the video, one tweep (@pmcafrica) argued that it was probably the angle the screenshot was taken from that makes her look pregnant. However, in he comments section, many fans were convinced that she has a bun in the oven.

“Nah she’s definitely pregnant. There’s no way she has that kind of mkhaba [potbelly],” @sewelankoana wrote.

“Very much pregnant,” @zethuankosi said.

While another tweep (@tsholofelotika3) argued that she would not be consuming alcohol if she was pregnant: “She probably just gained weight, she wouldn’t be drinking if she was pregnant.”

DJ MAPHORISA ASSAULT CHARGE

Last week, producer extraordinaire DJ Maphorisa – real name Themba Sonnyboy Sekowe – appeared at the Randburg Magistrate’s Court where he heard that representations he had made, in a bid to have the assault charge against him dropped, had been dismissed by the chief prosecutor.

This came after Thuli opened an assault case against him in May.

The former Generations: The Legacy actress alleged in a police statement that Maphorisa became aggressive and punched her on her chest during an argument in her home. He also allegedly slapped her across the face.

“He held me and took me to the balcony, and grabbed me aggressively by my neck,” the police statement read.

After spending a night in police custody, the Mnike hitmaker was granted R4 000 bail. In addition, the actress filed a withdrawal statement, however, the National Prosecuting Authority (NPA) said it would investigate before withdrawing.

Days after his release, Maphorisa and Thuli released a joint statement, saying they will be dealing with the matter privately.

While it is not clear if they are still together, a source told Zimoja that Maphorisa took back the Mercedes G-Wagon and Porsche he had bought for Thuli.

The Izolo rapper will return to court on 26 July.
