Actress and TV host Pearl Thusi, has debunked rumors made by controversial blogger Musa Khawula, that she slept with AKA, while he was in a relationship with her bestie DJ Zinhle.
MUSA KHAWULA ‘PEARL HAD SEX WITH AKA‘
Pearl recently had a sit-down interview on ‘L-Tido’ Podcast, in which she candidly discussed her career moves, losing her parents, motherhood, and her alleged beef with DJ Zinhle.
The media personality set the record straight on Musa Khawula’s startling claims. This follows Musa Khawula took to his YouTube channel a few weeks ago, to make the wild claims which caused quite a stir on social media. Musa who has become notorious for beefing with celebs and blasting them on social media, had tweeps convinced that the alleged animosity between Zinhle and Pearl, stemmed from his allegations.
“Our friends in the street have been talking. You are not going to believe this. You know that AKA and Zinhle were dating, and they have a child together, but it also turns out that Pearl Thusi apparently had sex with AKA while Zinhle and AKA were still together,” Musa alleged.

PEARL ‘I DID NOT SLEEP WITH AKA’
Pearl has denied the damning claims.
“Of course, Pearl did not sleep with AKA, it is absolutely untrue.”
She also addressed claims that she had an affair with award-winning South African rapper Da L.E.S.
“I have never been in a relationship with Da L.E.S. We are close friends and I understand why people would assume that,” said Pearl.
PEARL ‘MY MOTHER CONTRACTED SOMETHING FROM MY FATHER‘
The media personality also opened up about losing her parents. Pearl’s mother died when she was a teenager, in 2004, and her father, Bhekizizwe Thusi, died in 2020.
“My mom had contracted something from my father and my mom was a professional nurse,” she explained.
When L-Tido asked her to clarify what her mom contracted from her father she said:
“An STD, like she was HIV positive, and my dad was always getting sick. At the time, the stigma attached to HIV was wild and obviously, I would have never brought this up with my dad if he was still alive,” she said.
Pearl went on to reveal how her parents died and revealed that her dad had survived meningitis three times.
“My mom had goal stones and to this day, it’s a very normal treatment to do but to die from it was apparently very suspicious, but her being HIV did not really help. My dad had meningitis and he survived three times which is insane,” she added.
Pearl expressed that she was angry after she found out that her mother was HIV positive eight years later. She said she wanted to ask her father about it. She said she was relieved when her father confessed his HIV status. Pearl said this happened during his hospital stay, and he divulged the news in front of them when the doctor asked him.
