South African actress Baby Cele’s farewell to Zoleka Mandela left many fans in tears.
Zoleka lost her life to cancer, but her story would inspire many generations.
The talented writer survived breast cancer twice before she was diagnosed with cancer in her lungs, liver, ribs, spinal cord, brain and hips.

Despite such terrifying news, Zoleka remained vigilant and hopeful until her last day.
The Mandela family made a statement on her death on Tuesday, 26 September 2023.
“On monday, 18 September. Zoleka Mandela was admitted into hospital for ongoing treatment for metastatic cancer to the hip, liver, lung, pelvis, brain and spinal cord.

“Recent scans revealed significant disease progression Including fibrosis in the lungs as well as several emboli.”
“Zoleka passed away on the evening of Monday, 25 September. surrounded by friends and family. Our sincerest gratitude to the medical team that took care of her,” read the statement.
BABY CELE’S FAREWELL TO ZOLEKA MANDELA
Sharing on her Instagram, Baby Cele showed how much she found inspiration from Zoleka.
Woke up to the sad news of your passing…yaze yabuhlungu inhliziyo yami , rest well My Beloved Queen 🕯🕯🕊🕊💔💔” she said.

After her post, many celens like Natasha Thahane also had a few words to the late Zolake.
“She really fought and touched many of us with her positive attitude…. Rest well Zoleka , May your beautiful soul rest in eternal peace ❣️🙏” said Winnie Ntshaba.

Many fans were left crying and mourning after Baby Cele shared her farewell to Zoleka Mandela.
“We all witnessed her fighting but I had hoped she will survive like the other times and come back to her kids. This is heartbreaking especially for her children. May she rest well🕊️❤️”
