State of Somhale update: Mohale reportedly asks Somizi for a divorce
Is Somizi and Mohale’s marriage finally klaar, finished, gedaan? A source claims Mohale has served the ‘Idols SA’ judge with divorce papers.

Mohale Motaung’s legal team has reportedly served Somizi Mhlongo with divorce papers after the two were barely married for one year.
MOHALE SERVES SOMIZI WITH DIVORCE PAPERS, SOURCE CLAIMS
Somizi and Mohale had their official “white wedding” on 30 January 2020. One year on from their high-profile nuptials, a “deep-throat” source has disclosed to Mgosi that Mohale’s legal team has served Somizi with divorce papers.
“Somizi’s true friends are by his side as always. He’s quiet, while on the other hand Mohale is [leading] a life of a happy bachelor in Cape Town,” the source said.
“Somizi went into the marriage with his heart entirely open and he always wanted the best for both of them.”
However, apart from the unnamed claims, there has been no evidence of Mohale actually filing for divorce as yet.
SOMHALE AND SOMIZI’S MARRIAGE ON THE ROCKS?
Somizi and Mohale’s marriage is possibly the most talked about marriage in South Africa, but for all the wrong reasons. The public has been speculating that their marriage has gone south for a few months now.
Somizi has never spoken badly about his marriage, but rather justified the issues the couple have been having. In an interview with Anele and The Club on 947, he disclosed that they were just facing the “one-year challenge” of their marriage.
BESTIE TRIPS FURTHER FUEL RUMOURS
The Idols SA judge further fuelled the rumour mill when he went on two lavish ‘bestie’ holidays during the month of love with best friend Vusi Nova. Mohale was left out of the picture. The best-friend duo visited the scenic city of Cape Town in early February and enjoyed the high life on safari in Kruger National Park later in February.
This sparked rumours that Somizi’s marriage was going downhill, and that Vusi Nova and Somizi were more than best friends. Vusi Nova denied dating Somizi in an interview.
MOHALE NOT WEARING WEDDING RING
There has been no solid proof of the couple’s split as yet, but fans have noticed that Mohale has not been wearing his wedding ring in recent photographs.
‘DON’T EVER FORGET TO DREAM’
Neither Somizi nor Mohale has publicly said anything to support reports of their divorce. The two have been under public scrutiny for some time now. However, they have come out on top each time no matter the circumstances.
Mohale took to social media to share a message of hope to himself. He posted two pictures of himself taking in the views of cape Town with the caption:
“Dear Mohale: In all the chaos of the world and all the mundane stuff you have to deal with, don’t ever forget to dream. Love, Mohale ????”
