The River actor Presley Chweneyagae has come underfire on social media for allegedly not paying maintenance for his 16-year-old son.

The actor appeared on the popular Moja Love show called Papgeld on Sunday, 02 April, where he was confronted for neglecting his son. The show encourages parents to be active in their children’s lives.

This comes a few months after Presley was implicated in a R15 million National Lotteries Commission (NLC) fraud case being investigated by the Special Investigations Unit (SIU).

According to Presley’s baby mama Alletta Somfula, she got pregnant with their son in 2005. The actor asked for a DNA test and the results confirmed that he is indeed their son’s father. The actor also has two children with his wife, Paulina Chweneyagae.

Somfula further told Zimoja that she has five court orders against Presley, but she has not been successful in getting him to pay maintenance for their son who is now in grade 10.

“I am not a bitter baby mama but I want what is best for my child,”  she is quoted as saying. “All he knows is to ask my parents for my child to visit him, when I am not around, and not buy him anything,” she added.

Seven years later she moved the file to Tembisa and Presley allegedly promised to pay R700 maintenance. She says he only paid R1000 and then disappeared. Somfula again moved the file to Kempton Park, where she currently resides, and as it stands, the actor owes R58 800 maintenance.

Throughout the Papgeld episode, Presley ignored questions from the show’s presenter and Somfula.

If that #Papgeld episode is not some prank or fake content ish, does he not have a manager? Coming off of the Lotto scandal, how could he sign a release form to be on that show?”

“That Presley guy is a mess.First he allegedly assaulted his wife, then the alleged Lotto scamming and now we find out that he’s a dead beat,” @tlalane_ said.
