Staged? SA reacts to DJ Sbu getting robbed on camera [watch]

South African musician turned entrepreneur Sbusiso “DJ Sbu” Leope has inspired many with his flair for business and refusal to give up. Over the last few years, he has appeared in various clips doing anything and everything to sell his MoFaya energy drink. While the videos wee usually met with applaud and enthusiasm by his fans, the latest one left people gasping.

In the clip, the “hustler” basically gets robbed by a motorist while trying to sell him one of his MoFaya energy drinks. After watching, many X users wondered whether the clip was staged or not.

DJ Sbu gets robbed on camera

DJ Sbu is one of the country’s most beloved media personalities.

He has been around for ages and brought us hits such as Remember When It Rained and Lengoma which features late singer Zahara.

While it has been a while since he blessed the music scene with any new music, he serves as a big inspiration for entrepreneurs with his energy drink MoFaya.

In a new clip of the Remember When It Rained hitmaker, he can be seen selling his energy drink on a busy township road when one customer drives off without paying.

He then turns to the camera and explains why one shouldn’t give the product before getting the money.

Mzansi is not sold

After watching, many remarked that the robbery appears to be staged. A lot of them pointed out how quick he was to make the moment a teachable one.

“Less than 3 seconds after getting robbed he drops knowledge, clearly staged,” one person said while another wrote:

“Aaaghh!!! this was stage…nxaa!”
