South Africans music fans and stars are reeling over the death of talented musician Zahara — real name Bulelwa Mkutukana. The Loliwe hitmaker died on Monday this week following a short stay in hospital due to complications with her liver.

So far hundreds of tributes have went out to the star from her fans as well as fellow industry professionals.

SA politician Fikile Mbalula is one of those who have paid tribute — unfortunately, his grammar and punctuation let him down.

One of the people who have headed online to pay tribute to Zahara is African National Congress (ANC) Secretary General Fikile Mbalula.

Taking to X, the politician shared a photo of the late star which he captioned:

“REST EASY ZAHARA WE WILL MISS SAD NEWS INDEED.”

A mistake not unnoticed

Mbalula’s poor grammar and punctuation did not go unnoticed by angry South Africans who never miss an opportunity to drag politicians.

Many of them slammed him for pretending to care about the people of this country.

“Nayi 30% pass rate yenu Mzansi ” one person said while another wrote:

“The irony, you purge humans on earth, then when they die you act like you care.”

“You need to learn something from me Mbaks, that you don’t have comment on every matter … I don’t think anyone would have even noticed if you didn’t say anything,” a third added.
