When is Handre and Marise Pollard’s baby due?

It’s been an exciting month for Springboks couple Handre and Marise Pollard who not only celebrated the team’s Rugby World Cup victory but confirmed a baby is on the way!

There must be few greater feelings in life than bringing a World Cup trophy to your home country, and then bringing a child into the world. For many, this would be the stuff of dreams and fantasies. For Handre Pollard and his wife Marise, it’s their reality. The lovers have been on cloud nine for the past month and in the early days of November, they surprised their fans when they confirmed that they are expecting a bundle of joy.

Marise Pollard took to social media to share the good news and also show off her growing baby bump.

MARISE POLLARD CONFIRMS BABY DUE DATE

Pregnancy is not easy by any stretch. The amount of variables makes it a tough medical journey for a lot of women. However, the excitement of meeting your little one for the first time can sometimes make the journey feel more worth it. For Marise Pollard and her Rugby jock hubby, Handre, it’s currently a matter of counting the days until that precious moment.

According to Marise’s latest Instagram post, their baby is set to arrive in April 2024 which means she is almost exactly halfway through her pregnancy journey. She wrote on her Instagram page, “The biggest blessing of them all joining us April ‘24. Thank you Jesus for trusting us with this little life.”. The post instantly went viral and the comments section has been filled with nothing but congratulatory messages.

WILL HANDRE POLLARD BE IN TOWN FOR BABY’S BIRTH?

Although the birth of your first child will always take priority, for Handre Pollard there may be a slight clash when it comes to his professional duties. The 29-year-old recently returned to England to continue playing for his club team, the Leicester Tigers. The English club season runs all the way until May 2024 which means by the time Marise Pollard goes into labour, his team will be at the crunch point of the season.

Considering the importance of the occasion, it would make sense if his coach granted him permission to miss the final month of the season so that he can be by his partner’s side for the birth of their child. Pollard is not the only Springbok expecting a child, Eben Etzebeth has also confirmed that he and his partner are expecting a bundle of joy in the not-too-distant future.
