Dricus du Plessis is known for his tagline: “Hulle weet nie wat ons weet nie.” But the MMA fighter – who made history as the first African UFC title holder after beating defending champion Sean Strickland at the UFC 297 – wants the world to know another local phrase.

DRICUS DU PLESSIS TEACHES THE WORLD ANOTHER LOCAL PHRASE

In a clip that has gone viral on social media, Dricus du Plessis is seen schooling US Nina Drama on popular SA phrases.

“Can you teach me something in your language?” she asks the Pretoria-born Afrikaans fighter. With a cheeky grin and a wink, the UFC fighter proceeds to teach the woman how to say a notorious phrase, “Jou ma se p**s,” which many consider as a curse word.

“What does it mean?”  the woman asks an amused Dricus.

Dricus du Plessis is hoping to make UFC history by becoming the first African title holder

The South African scooped the title from middleweight world champion Sean Strickland in a hotly-anticipated match at the UFC 297, screened on Sunday morning.

Dricus said in a press conference this week about representing his country: “They don’t know what we as South Africans know. We are built differently. No matter how tough it goes, no matter how we are faced with hardships every day, much more than anybody else …
