Three Khama Billiat signed jerseys auctioned for R475k

Yadah FC auctioned former Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat’s three signed jerseys for R475 000 during his unveiling at the Heart Stadium.

Former Kaizer Chiefs star Khama Billiat was unveiled as Yadah FC’s player ahead of the Castle Larger Premier League. Players gave the 33-year-old a guard of honour as he walked into the Heart Stadium in Harare, Zimbabwe.

Thousands of fans witnessed his unveiling, with several prominent figures in attendance, from politicians to celebrities.

However, after Khama Billiat’s unveiling, the club had a dinner gala. Three of Khama Billiat’s signed jerseys were auctioned during the dinner gala.

However, the club made a whooping $25 000, which amounts to R475 000. It seems the club has since recouped its money from the auction. Two of the jerseys were auctioned for $10 000 each (R119 000), with the other fetching $5000 (R95 000).

Rumour mill has it that one of the business owners revealed that he will disclose how much he will pay for Khama Billiat’s jersey. However, some photos of the talisman signing the jerseys have since flooded social media.

The photos have undoubtedly gained thousands of comments and reactions since they dropped on the internet.

TRANSFER MOVE TO YADAH FC

Khama Billiat joined Yadah FC after failing to secure a move within the DStv Premier League after dumping Kaizer Chiefs in the eleventh hour. In the backdrop of his woes, he joined Yadah FC. Confirmed reports have it that Prophet Walter Magaya paid Khama Billiat R380 000 cash signing-on fee.

The former Kaizer Chiefs will pocket R95 000 as base salary at the Harare-based outfit. However, the Soweto giants reportedly had offered Khama a 60% salary cut to stay at Chiefs. The salary cut would have seen Khama Billiat earning around R450 000 monthly.

In addition to his package, Yadah FC recently gave Khama Billiat a new car as part of his deal. The former Kaizer Chiefs talisman received a Land Rover Defender from the club. The sleek car has a price tag of R2 million in several dealerships around South Africa.
