Mamelodi Sundowns star Thapelo Maseko is making headlines in the backdrop of his birthday. Undoubtedly, he has wowed many over the years with his command of the game and flair, leaving many to guess about his age.

He has won big since his transfer to Mamelodi Sundowns from SuperSport United.

Taking to social media, Mamelodi Sundowns penned a birthday note to the star. The post has gained thousands of comments and reactions since it dropped on the internet. Social media was set abuzz after fans connected the dots about Thapelo Maseko’s age.

No doubt he is younger than we thought. Despite keeping his private life under wraps over the years, his age has thrust him into top trends. The 20-year-old star was born on 11 November 2003 in South Africa.

Fellow players and fans have flooded his social media platforms with warm birthday wishes. Earlier this year, he hogged headlines when Mamelodi Sundowns announced his signing from SuperSport.

Taking to X, formerly Twitter Sundowns posted: “Introducing Thapelo Maseko! Masandawana, we are delighted to introduce the exciting Thapelo Maseko to our squad ahead of the new season!”

JOINING MAMELODI SUNDOWNS

With SuperSport, Maseko scored four goals in 24 matches last season, where he also caught the eye of Bafana Bafana head coach Hugo Broos. However, he has since opened his account with Sundowns and has wowed many with his flair.

His move to Sundowns saw him joining several players, including Grant Kekana, Sipho Mbule, Teboho Mokoena, Ronwen Williams and Aubrey Modiba, who have left SuperSport for Sundowns.
