‘Sonia told me of many other women’: Matthew Booth ‘started cheating a decade ago’
Former celeb couple Sonia and Matthew Booth are in the process of divorce following the ex-model’s rant on social media in 2022.

A friend of Matthew and Sonia Booth has dropped a bombshell about the former celeb couple’s embattled marriage.
MATTHEW BOOTH ACCUSED OF CHEATING ON SONIA MULTIPLE TIMES
Speaking to ZiMoja about the former model and ex-Bafana Bafana defender’s ongoing divorce process, the friend (who did not want to be named, alleged that Booth started cheating on Sonia more than a decade ago.
“I was horrified when Sonia told me of many other women, especially around 2012 when he was living at their Cape Town property while he was playing for Ajax Cape Town,” said the friend.
According to the source, Sonia stayed behind in Johannesburg because she didn’t want to uproot their eldest son in the middle of a school year.
THERE WAS ANOTHER WOMAN IN 2022
These allegations were brought to light two years after the former Mamelodi Sundowns star was accused of infidelity by his estranged wife.
In a lengthy rant on her social media accounts, Sonia shared evidence to support her claims on her estranged husband’s alleged cheating escapades, which allegedly started in February that year.
According to Sonia, Booth had been using their joint bank account and her vehicle, which has a tracker in it, to spend quality time with Mthombeni-Moller. The two allegedly took a road trip to Empangeni in KwaZulu-Natal; they spent Valentine’s Day together and also had lunch dates. She also claimed that the ex-football star baked a cheesecake cake, for his alleged girlfriend, on the eve of their son’s birthday that they thought they would feast on as a family.
However, the source claims that there was another woman in 2022 whose name is Gloria.
Matthew Booth had not responded to questions The South African website sent to him at the time of publishing.
MATTHEW BOOTH DENIES CHEATING
In response to the allegations, Booth released a statement claiming the allegations were “unfounded”.
Mthombeni-Moller also denied the accusations in a court application seeking an order to compel Sonia to remove the allegedly defamatory statements from her social media accounts – Sunday World reported in December 2022.
However, Sonia won the case with costs.
“It was a win [with costs] for the so-called urgent interdict for me to remove my social media posts and to apologise publicly,” she said.
MTHOMBENI-MOLLER MAKES RELATIONSHIP OFFICIAL
Since then, both Booth and Mthombeni-Moller filed for divorce from their respective spouses.
In addition, Mthombeni-Moller made her relationship with Booth Instagram official in January this year when she shared photographs as they attended Booth’s sister Bronwyn’s wedding together.
