Shebeshxt explains why he loses his cool and assaults fans
Controversial rapper Shebeshxt, real name Lehlogonolo Chauke, is known for assaulting fans who provoke him.

Limpopo-born musician Shebeshxt has made more headlines for his controversies of assault, than his music.
Last month, the Dilo Tse Massive rapper made headlines after a video of him punching a man identified as Tshepo went viral on social media.
The musician – whose real name is Lehlogonolo Katlego Chauke – later shared a video apologising. He told his fans he had asked for forgiveness and assured them he wouldn’t do it again.
SHEBESHXT SAYS HE DOESN’T HATE THE FANS HE ASSAULTS
During his recent interview on the L-Tido podcast, “President ya Ma2000” (as he is affectionately known) shed light on his viral fight videos.
“I’m not fighting with them. I hit them once just to show them that I am not fighting and to tell them to relax and not start with me,” he said.
“For them, it’s fun, for me it’s work. So when they try to provoke me at work it makes me think they want to make me lose work and go hungry.”
Shebeshxt continued: “I don’t hate you. I love you, it’s just that you are under the influence and I want you to wake up.”
“If I was fighting with them then a big fight would’ve interrupted. The one hit I give them is just to wake them up. All the people I hit, I don’t hate them, I love them. They are my fans. When we are under the influence we behave differently. If I always had water, I would never hit them, I’d just throw them with water and get it over with.”
ATTEMPTED MURDER CHARGES
On social media platform X, the Twerka hitmaker is trending for a video of him pointing a gun at a fan during his performance. Although it is not clear when the video – which was posted by murder-accused blogger Musa Khawula – was recorded, it has caused a stir on social media.
According to a Sunday World article in October last year, he appeared in court where his gun-pointing charges were provisionally withdrawn.
Shebeshxt was charged with two counts of discharging a firearm after he allegedly fired shots in the air. The incident reportedly took place at a family home in Ga-Mamaola village, Limpopo, on 10 April.
In the same year, Shebeshxt was charged with attempted murder and assault with intent to cause grievous bodily harm.
The Twerka hitmaker was accused of stabbing three people in Limpopo, on different occasions.
In the first case, which occurred in 2022, he allegedly stabbed the complainant on his back with a knife in Lebowakgomo. In the second case, also in 2022, he allegedly stabbed the complainant with a knife three times on his lower left arm, back of the neck, and next to his ribs. The rapper allegedly also stabbed another complainant on the head, once, with a knife.
